Treasurer's Newsletter

June 23, 2003

May was a very busy month for our local.  Our operating expenses were higher than normal due to a number of reasons.  Out of town meetings and conferences were the primary reasons.  Vice President Mike Hagan attended the 5th District Progress Meetings which were held in Biloxi Mississippi.  Brother Mark Wilson made his annual trip to Tallahassee as the Political Representative for L.U. 1191.  In addition to the trips, the last of the bills for our Union picnic were paid in full.  With no large expenditure items slated for June we should be back on track and operating smoothly again.

On a different note, the officers of L.U. 1191, Rian McMahon, Mike Hagan, Dan McGowan, Joe Brennan, Brad Baldwin along with E-Board member Pete Lacroix attended an Officer Training Course on 6-21-03.  The 5th District International Reps Joe Doak and John Schantzen presented the course.  The course was well presented and very informational.  Hopefully we will use the information we learned to help us do a better job of serving our Brothers & Sisters in the future.

In closing, have a safe year, starting one day at a time.

 Brad Baldwin (BRB), Treasurer
