Treasurer’s Newsletter

May 2006

It’s already May 2006, and there is a lot that has transpired since my last newsletter.

The Department of Labor has a few new requirements doing the LM2 reports. The reports must be done electronically and the signed with a digital signatures by the Treasurer and the President.  Acquiring the digital signatures was a pain to get that done but they are good for two years.

Unemployment report and taxes also must be done on line. We were also audited by Overland Solutions, Inc. requested by Ullico (our workers comp insurance). We are required by law to carry workers comp insurance. All went well with the audit, and I will be notified with the final report in a couple of weeks.

We had our annual Picnic in March the food, entertainment and all the members and their family’s had a good time.

We just sent two Officers and two Executive Board members to the 5th District Meeting, and the Utility Conference. Two delegates go to each meeting. They will be giving their reports at the next Union meeting May 23rd.

Have a Safe Year, one day at a time.
