Treasurer’s Newsletter

March 2007

      It’s already March 2007, and there is a lot that has transpired since my last newsletter.

     The Department of Labor has a few new requirements doing the LM2 reports. The reports must be done electronically and the signed with a digital signatures by the Treasurer and the President.  Acquiring the digital signatures was a pain to get that done but they are good for two years. Unemployment report and taxes also must be done on line...

     All went well with the recent audit with Brian Thompson, the 5^th District International Rep, formally our Business Manager of the SCU4, Brian coached us with some of our documentation to cover us in case we are audited by the Dept of Labor.

     We are having our annual Picnic in March 31^st at Okeeheelee Park at the Osceola Pavilion. There will be food, entertainment, a DJ and a bounce house for the kids.  All the members and their families should have a good time.
